A small campground along the banks of Percha Creek. This campground is near the historic towns of Hillsboro and Kingston, and also within easy driving distance of several hikes.

Campground facilities: trash can(s) (There is also a sign saying pack out all trash.), vault toilet(s), cooking grill (Only one campsite has this), fire pit.

Date: 2007-01-03
Cleanliness: 8. I found 7 and 9 small pieces of litter in two campsites and one aluminum can.

Getting to the campground:

From I-25, take exit 63 (south of Truth or Consequences). Take NM 152 west. You pass through the twon of Hillsboro. About 25 miles from the Interstate, the campground is on the right. If you get to the town of Kingston (where main street separates from NM 152), you passed the campground.

Our truck in a campsite
A short gravel road parallels the highway, and the campsites are along this road. Just beyond the campsite and our truck is Percha Creek.
