Getting to the campground:

From Mora, head south on NM 94. All odometer readings are from this point.

At 4.0 miles, a sign indicates where you turn to go to Morphy Lake. The road is one lane wide.

At 6.1 miles, another sign indicates a right turn. Take this.

At 6.8 miles, you arrive at the park and campground. Note that the road ends in the lake, so driving too quickly might make the trip more exciting than you want.

About the campground:

A campsite
The campsites are what you would expect at a developed campground. You are in a ponderosa forest. Note that there are not great tent areas. This did not stop lots of people from camping in tents when we stopped by.
Here is one of the other campsites.

Morphy Lake
Of course one of the primary reasons for coming here is for the high mountain lake. This view is from across the lake, and you can see some of the campsites and the boat dock.
