Apache plume: Fallugia

Species in this genus:

Apache plume (Fallugia paradoxa)

A common shrub in New Mexico and in the southwest US, Apache Plume's white, apple blossom-like flowers add a nice bit of color to hillsides. As the season progresses, the pink-tinged feathery plumes are quite beautiful. The shrubs have many branches and range from 2 to 6 feet tall.
